Client Overview

Teko Marine sells marine appliances and galley, refrigeration, laundry and air-conditioning equipment to technical buyers in more than 20 countries, and now trades online under its MaxxMarine brand.

We were hired to make the catalogue rank for the searches global buyers actually use, turn the website into a source of B2B enquiries, and build an organic channel that does not depend on paying for every click.

Objective

Generate B2B enquiries from day one while organic rankings were built
Rank product and category pages for specification-level searches worldwide
Build a website that international buyers can browse and buy from easily
Grow search visibility through a full move to a new brand and domain

Our Approach

01

Google Ads While SEO Took Root

We launched with a full SEO audit and keyword map, and ran Google Ads alongside it, split by market. Paid search did two jobs: it brought in enquiries straight away, and it showed us which product terms buyers in each country really use. In year one the website brought in 62 B2B enquiries from 20+ countries.

02

B2B E-commerce SEO at Product Level

Ambreen Hasan then shifted the weight of the strategy from paid search to SEO, because the data showed organic could carry the load. We optimised every category and product page, matched specification-level keywords to the exact pages that answer them, mapped search intent across the catalogue, and built authority with steady link building and monthly monitoring.

The rankings compounded. Keywords at #1 grew from 38 to 176, and 351 of 393 tracked keywords reached page 1, with 308,000 impressions and 6,470 clicks in six months.

03

Website Development, New Markets and a New Brand

We redesigned and developed the website strategically around how technical buyers search and compare, improving navigation, product discovery and the path to enquiry, and rolled the site out in multiple languages for international buyers.

When the business moved online to MaxxMarine, we rewrote every category page and product description and redirected every URL to its exact new equivalent. Visibility carried across and grew: weekly Google clicks went from 20 or fewer before the move to between 131 and 185 after it.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Expect early movement in three to six months and real authority in 18 to 24 months. Our SEO strategy for Teko Marine took it to 176 keywords ranking #1 and 351 of 393 tracked keywords on page 1. E-commerce catalogues compound, because every product page is another chance to rank, so gains accelerate once the foundations are in place.

Is SEO or Google Ads better for a B2B business?

Run both at the start, then shift weight to SEO as rankings arrive. In Teko Marine’s first year our Google Ads and website brought in 62 B2B enquiries from 20+ countries while we built the organic channel. Paid search buys time and keyword data; SEO turns that data into enquiries you do not pay for per click.

How do you change a website domain without losing SEO?

Map every old URL to its exact new equivalent, give the new pages unique content and monitor Search Console weekly after launch. When we moved Teko Marine’s traffic to its MaxxMarine brand, weekly Google clicks rose from 20 or fewer to between 131 and 185. Sending everything to the homepage is the most common mistake, and it throws away years of page-level authority.

How do e-commerce websites get found in AI search and Google AI Overviews?

Answer buyer questions directly on product and category pages, use structured data and keep technical foundations clean. Our SEO and AEO work for Teko Marine delivered 3,540 organic clicks and 169,000 impressions in three months at an average position of 7.8, with growing visibility in Google’s AI Overviews. Precise, specification-level pages are exactly what AI answers quote.
